For over 30 years the Trilogy newspaper has been representing the University of the District of Columbia as the official campus paper. The Trilogy represents the concept of connecting the University’s student body, faculty, and staff with unbiased and fact-based stories in the interest of educating and uplifting the University as a whole. In addition, this student run news organization connects …the University with Van Ness community members, city officials, and other institutions of higher learning in the Washington Metropolitan area as well as around the country.
The University of the District of Columbia is a Historically Black College and University with long-standing traditions and roots steeped in higher education. Our diverse student body comes from not only the Washington, D.C. area, but from all over the country and world.
Cool Trivia
The Trilogy newspaper was created in 1976 but has a history that reaches back to 1851. The Trilogy newspaper was so named as an homage to the previous institutions’ publications (D.C. Teacher’s, Federal City College and Washington Technical Institute.)
Before our paper was called the Trilogy, it was called The Trident, The Falcon and the Warrior.
